Profile Data: Avatar initials, location preferences, and badge level.
Wallet Data: Your public cryptocurrency wallet address when you connect a wallet. We never store private keys.
Trade Data: Trade history, offer details, escrow transactions, and transaction hashes.
Communication Data: Messages exchanged in trade rooms, including text and images.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs for security and analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
• Provide and operate the CryptoMeet platform
• Process trades and manage the escrow service
• Verify deposits and execute cryptocurrency releases
• Facilitate communication between trade parties
• Resolve disputes between users
• Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• Send email notifications about trade activity
• Improve our services and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We may share your data with:
Service Providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email notifications), and Alchemy (blockchain data). These providers process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.
Blockchain: Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on public blockchains (Polygon). Transaction hashes and wallet addresses are publicly visible by nature.
Law Enforcement: We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government authority.
Other Users: Your username, badge, rating, and trade history are visible to other CryptoMeet users.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
• Encryption of passwords and sensitive data at rest
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Row-level security policies on our database
• Encrypted storage of platform escrow keys
• Regular security reviews
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we strive to protect your data to the best of our ability.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Trade records and transaction data are retained for legal and compliance purposes.
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Your Rights below). Some data may be retained as required by law.

CryptoMeet is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.
